Beveling is a process that shaves a 45 degree angle from the edge of each piece of leather prior to braiding. It makes a smoother and slightly thinner lead.

Colors listed as "foil" have a thin foil coating added to a base color. "Shimmers" are completely dyed or painted. Shimmers are traditionally more durable than foils.
